Baryn Futa first discovered an interest in the arts in the aftermath of his retirement. He found that the arts were an area in which he had an intense interest and a want to help. Baryn Futa first got involved with the arts by working with the Denver Art Museum. This was his initial introduction to the arts and it spurred him to learn more. He took classes in art history both online and in physical classrooms in order to continue his education in the arts, followed by group art trips, visiting art fairs, and going to art museums. Additionally, Baryn Futa began his own art collection.
Baryn Futa began collecting art pieces, especially of the contemporary variety. This is a field that interests him, as it is constantly in a state of change and evolution. Baryn Futa’s collection today is expansive, with numerous museums borrowing his pieces for exhibitions. Baryn Futa serves on the Collection Committee for the Denver Art Museum today and is a member of a number of other museums.
